if it is the disc:
1 get a screen cleaner
2 spray it on the disc
3 then sweep it with a towel
i hope this works.
if it is is overheating:
clean the fan and make sure the ps3's back isn't hitting the wall

Some tv's suffer worse than others, generally panasonic plasmas suffer least, however there are reports that some of the models are beginning to become worse. Check out input lag for your model by googling it. Anything above 30 - you're gonna feel it.

I play cod and halo, and I find that while playing system link with friends on my old tube tv I am almost unbeatable! But when I go home and play on the same xbox, but my panisonic 50" plasma tv, with the same friends I struggle to stay in the the top 5! I know the quality of net and location of the players play a factor. But I have been told that my plasma lags in such a matter that when I'm aimming at another player that I'm already a sec behind because of lag created by the plasma tv itself! Hopefully I have explained myself well enough that u can give me an answer!!!

The panasonic viera TX-P50VT20B has an alleged input lag of 10ms in game mode. This is the lowest I have heard of so far - although this claim has come direct from panasonic - love to hear that verified independently !
