Plasma Vs LCD tv.Which is the better system?

Question by dalhuny: Plasma Vs LCD tv.Which is the better method?
Not such as the cost or picture good quality i was asking yourself if anyone had any info on the pros and cons for every tv unit( Plasma vs LCD) facts or personal expertise would be excellent.I
do not have allot of income so i want to be effectively knowledgeable about equally TVs.

Very best solution:

Reply by Artemisc
LCDs: Positives: Lighter weight, non-reflective, cool temperature, and I beiiwve they use a lot less strength.
negatives: Plasmas typically have deeper blacks, and no movement blur. A lot more pricey LCDs don’t have significantly movement blur
Plasmas: Benefits, deeper blacks, no motion blur
Drawbacks: They throw off a good deal of warmth, are really large, and they can reflect sun or synthetic light.

i choose LCD.:

What are the pros and cons of plasma vs. lcd tvs?

Question by beachbum ♥: What are the pros and cons of plasma vs. lcd tvs?
Which do you desire, why?
(I am obtaining a single or the other in the following few weeks and am attempting to weigh my determination)

Thank you!!

Greatest answer:

Answer by Kyle & Megan
Plasma is a waste of cash…

only get LCDs

There are so a lot of cons about Plasma (fuel) and pros about LCD (liquid crystal)..

right here are the a lot more important problems.. you can view an entire record just by googling it..

Plasma:
has to be seen in proper lights at a particular angle to get a good picture high quality.

photograph is not up to par with LCD

pictures can burn off onto the screen, and the gas will fade out so the daily life span of the tv is much much less.

LCD:
will last a very prolonged time
picture clarity and quality are significantly much better and the viewing angle is far more diverse..
LCDs are vibrant and “crystal” distinct

EDIT: I would go with a excellent namebrand LCD tv. Getting a low cost a single to me is just as negative as a plasma.

I am not stating all plasma are negative, but from my expiriences I would honesty not waste my money on them..

I would propose going into the shop open minded and obtaining a representative display you every television and just check them out, stand in distinct areas and see which one has better top quality..

What do you consider? Remedy below!

Things to Look for in an LCD TV

If you’ve already made up your mind that you want an LCD television, there are still things you need to consider. We are going to take a quick look at some of the best things to look for in an LCD HDTV.

The first thing to consider is whether you want the newest LED backlit LCD technology for your TV. Basically, LED allows the newer LCD TVs to be created even small and thinner. In addition, they do address some problems in old LCD TVs like viewing angle and contrast.

120 or 240 Hz Processing?

In the past, 60 Hz refresh rate was the common standard on televisions. Simply put, the refresh rate of a television affects the “blur” or “motion” you will see during some types of video. The higher the refresh rate, the clearer the picture. Now, the thing to know is that 240HZ may not really be needed. Unless you look at a lot of test patterns, most people are NOT going to notice the difference between 120 and 240 Hz. This can save you a few bucks if you were thinking you HAD TO HAVE 240 Hz. For most people, the difference is not noticeable with most programming.

HDMI Inputs

Another thing you are going to want to consider is number of HDMI (and other) inputs on the television. If you have a lot of home theater equipment, a couple game consoles, and who knows what else, you want to make sure your LCD television has enough inputs to handle everything. This is something most people don’t think about until it’s too late. If you’re smart, however, you’re going to know how many you need when you start shopping.

Mount or TV Stand

You will want to check the fine print to see if any mounting hardware or a TV stand is included with the LCD HDTV. Most times, these items will NOT be included. This isn’t the case all the time, however. The thing is, you want to make sure you have everything you need to start enjoying your television when it arrives, so make sure you know whether or not you’re going to need mounting brackets or a TV stand for your new LCD HDTV. Also, make sure that if you do have a TV stand your new television is going to fit!

What to Look for in an LCD HDTV

There are other considerations you should think about when buying an LCD television. As long as you do your homework (reading LCD vs Plasma Blog counts), then you’re going to have a better idea of what television is going to be best for your home. If you know the things to look for in an LCD TV, you’re going to have a better experience overall.

If you have any tips on stuff to look for when buying an LCD TV, leave a comment below and let us know.

Toshiba TV High Definition: How to Hook Up and Use

To hook up and use high definition (Hi-Def) on a Toshiba TV may seem like a simple task that wouldn’t need any instruction, but with televisions today this isn’t necessarily the case.

You shouldn’t feel bad if you do need a little bit of help with hooking up your HDTV to use the Hi-Def signal. With today’s televisions, everyone has a little trouble at first – even the pros sometimes!

The exact directions are going to vary slightly depending on which Toshiba TV you have and what equipment you have in your home theater system.

Let’s say you have the Toshiba 46RV530U 46″ Regza Full HD LCD TV for example. The first thing you want to make sure of is that you actually have a source of high definition.

If you do not have Hi-Def cable or satellite television, you can still check your Hi-Def picture quality with a Blu-Ray player or some of the newer gaming consoles. Most people don’t realize that to get the better resolution you actually need a source of video that is higher quality.

Once you make sure you have a high definition video source hooked up, it’s easy to get the high def picture with your Toshiba TV. You actually do not have to do anything. When your television detects a high definition video source, it will show the better quality resolution. It may seem more difficult, but it’s really that simple.

If you have more specific questions about how to hook up and use high definition on your Toshiba TV, leave a comment below and we’ll see what we can do to answer it for you.

How an LCD TV Works

Everyone enjoys the picture perfect display on an LCD TV, but only a few really know how this amazingly attractive machine works. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, and the main technology that makes it work is the Thin Film Transistor. In order to fully understand how an LCD TV works, you must learn a few things about liquid crystals, which are small cylindrical figured molecules through which light passes. However, when these minute molecules are placed in an electric field, the level of current can determine how much light passes through them, which allows you to see a picture. Read the full story
